I have been shooting PRS matches with my 20″ CTR (in 260 Rem) for the last 2 years. The gun's favorite load is 43.6 gr of H4350 and 139gr Scenars (loaded to 2.850 OAL) with LaPua brass and CCI LR primers,which yields around 2720 fps.  The barrel is mated to a Thunderbeast Arms 30-P1 suppressor.

If it was me……..  I'd run some rounds through the gun first to see how it holds zero (or not) before worrying about attention to the rail bedding issue.

There's a pretty good chance you should be OK with it the way it is…

If you do get variances (shot to shot) when testing, then the JB Weld fix would be my next step.

Pelican Storm are great cases.  Not sure about pre cut foam from them though.  Buy an electric knife online (about $10) and watch others on YouTube on how to cut your inserts.

that's a pretty low round count for the barrel to be letting go.  I have ..2600 rounds through my 260 CTR and although I'm starting to chase the lands a bit, the accuracy is still very good.  Before you go and buy a new $600 barrel, i'd experiment with different bullet weights first.

i'd just use a crush washer if you're not going to hang anything off the flash hider.

Just as an FYI….  I load my 260 CTR with 44.6gr of H4350, topped with a 139gr Scenar, LaPua brass@ 2.850 OAL & CCI LR primers.  This load has pretty much consistently yielded 2742 fps since the get-go…
Occasionally I'll get some over pressure signs ( ejector pin marks, loose primer pockets) but never had any flattened primers.  So far I've go… Read more

I do like the Thunderbeast can even though it's a dated model.  One interesting fact  I found with the 30-P1 is that I lost about 20 fps in speed with the can, which is converse of the SDN-6 that I have mounted on a .308.  Just differences in designs I'm guessing.

There is NOTHING sub-standard about CDI bottom metal. I have it on my 260 CTR with a Manners T2A stock.  The owner (and his wife) of CDI were extremely helpful with my needs due to shortcomings from Manners when I originally ordered the stock with the CDI bottom metal.  I'm running AI mags on the CTR and they run like champs.
