<p>What are your thoughts on muzzle velocity?   Most of my reading suggests a 26” barrel for both the 7mm mag and the 300 win mag yet Tikka is running a 24.3” in their standard rifle and a 23.7” in the Varmint.</p>

<p>“Hi, depending the manufacturing date of your rifle there should be serial number (or just thee last digits) engraved to the bolt. You should only use the original bolt of the rifle!”  </p>

<p>I have also reached out to Tikka to find out if there are and distinguishable markings on the different bolts.   Ie.   part, serial, or model number.</p>

<p>Sorry for no pics of the actual process but things happened pretty quick and didn’t want to have it cool on me while working it.</p>

<p>Really interested in the response from Cabelas/Tikka.  Can you share it with us.</p>
