Thanks for the feedback Wizard!  I'm glad Greg was able to get everything taken care of for you.

By the way, 20mm, prone, and 300 meters is something to brag about.  Most shooters wish they could shoot that good.

Would you be willing to do a little torture test? Like put the safety on and hit the butt of the rifle on the ground a few times to see if it releases the firing pin. Then disengage the safety to see if the firing pin releases. See if you can pull the trigger with the saftey engaged. Those are all I have heard complaints about. if you would be willing to do that I would really appreciate it. Thanks

I've both “slammed” the butt on the floor and tried to pull the trigger whilst in safety and this was fully safe.
By looking at the mechanism itself it shows that this will be pretty impossible.

The safety doesn't lock the action so you can empty the chamber without using the safety, that's nice!

All in all I'm very happy with my Jard trigger and since it's so cheap just order one and swap out the horrible original one 😉
    I'm using the 14oz model.

It only costs about the same as a descent bottle of single malt Whisky (Scottish that is) so there's no excuse not to buy one!

Thank you Wizard!  I'll take a Glen Morangie Quinta Ruban

The video will cover trigger pull consistency, drop test, safety test, and overall durability test.

I actually like torture testing products.  The environment and mountains out our back door make for some excellent testing grounds.  One product that just failed a torture test was the standard EGW rail.  Even with the tactical rings mounted and torqued correctly, it was damaged under the recoil of my ultralite 270 wsm with a heavy scope on top.

FYI the HD EGW passed the test.

If it will stop raining/snowing here, I'll get some more range footage and get that trigger video posted!

I was doing some calculations to see if the T3 lugs could handle the bolt thrust of a 338 Lapua.  Surprisingly, they have the strength to handle it.

Since the 338 RUM has a smaller bolt face, it would exert less pressure on the lugs than the Lapua.  It should be possible.  Just be sure to get one of our single shot followers to handle the longer round as the mag would be worthless.

That's what I was thinking.  There are tons of screw on options for the Remington 700.  My thought was to cut a knob that would accept any of the 700 ones.

We haven't.  Our web guy disappeared on us…  Soooo we're hiring a new one.

Jard also redesigned their Tikka triggers so we had to do a new test on the current version and I am almost done editing that video.

In the mean time we set up a YouTube channel and will start loading videos shortly.

    Sorry for the delay.

Once the video is loaded I will post the link here.

It definitely looks a little different.  Let me talk to Sako and see what the difference is.

I can ship this directly to the UK without a problem.  We do it on a regular basis.

Wow!  Very rare gun in excellent condition.

What is the caliber/specs?  How does it shoot?

I have been looking for one of these since you posted this and keep coming up empty handed.  A few guys told me that a Valmet M76 mag may work.

    Sorry I don't have more…

I'm with you on making something.  That's always best.

The great thing about these sleds is that they do not fall under the threshold to be regulated by US export laws.  This is something we are very careful of since most gun parts are highly regulated.

We have many customers buy from us from outside the borders since we have jumped through everything with the state department for exporting except our stocks.

Maybe in the US, but not in Europe. 🙂

    Grtz,

What?!?  Us Usonians are the only ones who like to shoot precision rounds?

No wonder we've been dominating BR and F-Class worldwide  😉
