My Tikka Varmint shoots in the .2's on a bad day and most days just under.

Here is the link to our sled:  http://www.tikkaperformance.com/Tikka%20T3%20Sled

So far I have put more than 500 rounds over it without a single failure.

    Hope this helps!

I'm interested in how the lug holds up…  So far I haven't put any of my Tikkas in our b&c test mule because the inlet looks as though very little of the lug will actually be in contact with the action.

    Definitely keep us posted.

    Thanks!

We are actually in the process of rewriting the entire site.  Unfortunately, there is enough content to slow us down on our current platform.

Hopefully things will be running 100% here shortly…  and look MUCH cooler!

    No worries.

We're working with one of the leading firearm accessory manufacturers to produce our long action AI solution right now.  Needless to say, it will open up a whole new world to Tikka owners shooting WSMs or anything in the .308 family.

    Enjoy!

    Very nice!

How does the B&C handle recoil?

My old ones had a contact point in the area you stated but my new ones are completely free floated.

I just cut out the rib that was touching my barrels.  By the time I figured it out, there was actually a rub mark on my barrel from vibrating against it.

    Hi Wizard,

We have a Tikka AICS DBM that can load 308 to 2.9″ or 73.6mm.  It's not much more, but it's something.

The easiest way to use a mag and get more length from a 308 is to buy a 30-06 length magazine and file your bolt stop back so the bolt will pick up the longer round.

Our long action AICS DBM is still in the works, but we have to manufacture more components for it to work reliably than we originally anticipated. That's the only thing holding us back right now.

Greg and I just finished shooting some video testing it and it worked flawlessly all the way up to our wsm.  Once I'm done editing the video, I'll post the link so everyone can see our review.

We just received all the photos to get them loaded into our site.  It should be done Monday.

They work well but still limit your ability to load the round out to the lands.  We've been working on a la DBM for over a year now.  There are some issues with reliable feeding that we've figured out how to fix, but it significantly raises the cost of production.

Yesterday I completed a test of our new Bobsled and it worked perfectly in everything from a 223 to a 270 wsm.  For $20 it's the cheapest and easiest way to go.

Once I'm done editing the video, I'll post a link to it.

We are having some problems with our website.  The sale price stopped being reflected on 5/28.

We're working hard to fix this and will continue the sale through July 4th weekend.

I apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have everything fixed very soon.

In the meantime, you can call us at 406-285-2371 to place your order and we'll honor the $100 discount.

    Thank you!

Tikka Shooters Forum favicon icon 15 Bullseyes

Sorry I missed this when you originally posted.

Beretta only imports the Tactical in 223 and 308.

It is fairly easy to rebarrel a T3 though.  For the price of the tactical, find a magnum sport in blue (they sell around here for around $550), take the barrel and stock off, have a smith chamber a 300 winny for you, screw on one of our tactical stocks and you'll have a custom rifle for the same price as the Tactical.

Oscar has fixed many of these issues and the ones we've tested have all been milled to precise tolerances.

The Long Range is set up for the Versa Pod which is a huge improvement when adding a bipod.
