Interesting – but mine is unbelievably bad!!

Unfortunately my experience is much different. Shooting from a rest, my shots are all over the board once the barrel gets hot – which on my T3X Forest .270 is very quickly.

I want to like this gun. It's beautiful and a I mounted a quality scope on it but so far I can't get it to shoot worth a damn.

I tried to call Tikka/Beretta but they just put you on hold for an hour and then hang up. WILL NOT return call either!

    Stay Away From Tikka!

Okay – thanks for the feedback. I ordered some lower grain ammo and I'm getting a recoil pad so that my next trip to the range will be more enjoyable (and successful). I did buy this thing to shoot.

Honestly, three groups of three shots and this Tikka T3x is a stove pipe.

I'm glad that your gun works for you but the jury is still out on my Tikka T3x Forest .270. As a matter of fact the jury is leaning heavily to convict (send it back dude!).

I can't get a decent shot group, it overheats quickly and the thing kicks like a mule – no fun to shoot.

I will take your advice and get a limbsaver and try that. That will help the recoil but not the overheating issue.

These guns don't live up to the hype!

I've got a new Tikka T3x Forest in .270 and have the same problem. Terrible groups and excessive recoil. I used a bunch of different ammo and a quality scope – no change. My barrel also overheats like crazy.

    These guns are light.

I'm beginning to think Tikka means “Show Gun” in Finland.

They are only for show and not for shooting. SAD!
