    I'm going to put Leupolds on the ones I get so I would be interested in knowing if the scope can be mounted far enough forward so a person shooting it won't get dinged.  Of course the 7mm-08's don't have the recoil of your 308.  I know from personal experience, shooting uphill can cause this to happen.

    Thanks, I will probably go with grabagun at 540 shipped which is the best price I can find on the internet. I am really impressed with the ballistics the 7mm-08 is getting these days especially with the Honaday ammo.  Almost 7 mag but with less recoil for the ladies.  What caliber did you get?

    My Daughter and I have DNZ mounts on all our Tikkas.  Just ask Tim and he will tell you which mounts number to order.  Great customer service and a very good product.

    Between my Daughter and me, we have three Tikkas and use DNZ mounts and Limbsaver recoil pads on all of them.
