I entered my first F-TR match a month ago with .223 T3 Sporter at South Bay Rod and Gun Club near San Diego. I used Creedmoor 77gr TMK factory loads (no reloads yet). I ended up 6th or 7th out of 15(I think) with a score of 436(out of 450 max) – 11X. This was a reduced distance F-TR match at 300 yards with appropriately reduced size targets. There were relatively light winds so I ended up holding off between 3 and 6″ for most of the shots.

It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it !

I just picked up some of the 75 amax as well as 69 and 77 smk's.

Made up some test loads but havn't gotten a chance to get out to the range in about a month. ggrrrrr!

I have a t3 tactical in .223 8 twist with very minor mods and am looking to try some of the local competitions in 300-600 range.

I have been looking at a lot of information on the web and have not seen much on people using Tikka's.

Everyone that tries mine or sees me shoot mine is impressed (not that I am any good, but the rifle makes me look that way :)) and figured that if there were more tikka owners shooting t/fr, this would be the place to look.

I have started to do my own reloads and am working on fine tuning a recipe for longer range loads.

I got my mag last week!
Looks great and runs rounds through the action like butter!

Have yet to take it to the range, but am looking forward to it.

Put my longest loads into the mag and still have plenty of room!!

Very well made mags indeed. A Word of warning though : They don´t fit all aftermarket trigger guards without minor filing and fancy Dremel work. Not my Atlasworx guard anyway 🙁

I am using Varget currently and have been loading different bullets in small lots to compare. 

Heading out tomorrow to try some, we will see how we do!
