It's always made me scratch my head a bit at the misnomer of calling it bottom metal when it's bottom plastic on the T3. I'll be keeping an eye out for an announcement of availability.
+1 for factory replacement METAL parts! o/

While they do look awesome, they also look like they're a slap in ready extended factory magazine. While that may be enough for a lot of people, for me, I'd hold out and spend the money on a CDI bottom metal and use AICS metal mags with more COAL. If I'm upgrading, I want more function that just number of rounds.

You might also check for wear on the recoil lug. A bad fit there can affect accuracy as well. Depending on how many rounds it had through it before you got it, it may be time for a replacement.

6.5mm 140 Berger VLD's want a twist of 1:8, I'm looking at a box in front of me right now. Also, I was JUST on the Tikka site and they have a twist of… 1:8 on the 6.5×55
So I guess what I'm trying to say is, be happy? Unless of course Robert's just decided to mess with us and it's all a joke.

I'm going to have to side with both YukonAL and Eric. Get the Tikka. You won't regret it.
As far as the recoil lug goes, it depends on the amount of recoil you're likely to have. You didn't mention a caliber so it's difficult to determine how much effect on an aluminum lug there will be. Like Eric inferred, the lighter calibers may do just fine with the factory lug.
When in doubt, upgrade. Steel lugs are available, fairly inexpensive and (I think) have tighter tolerances that the factory aluminum. I'm upgrading my entire stock with a replacement from the store here and as a bonus, it comes with a steel lug.

I look forward to creating some precision cartridges for my upcoming .280 Ackley Improved whenever I finish it and ran into a headspacing issue with how I planned to acquire formed cases. I thought that I could fireform brass using a standard .270 Win case, but found out that the headspacing is too short since they extended the shoulder on the .280 Rem to avoid a chambering issue with the .270; they moved it forward four hundredths, shortening the neck.
If I had not discovered this, I would have ran the risk of Bad Things™ happening. Knowing more about headspacing saved me from getting a whole bunch of .270 brass that would have needed a lot more effort to make work than what I now plan to do, order .280 Rem brass from Norma and fireform. Now I've only got a 50 bag to worry about. (It's going to get trimmed down and resized to shoot out of a Tikka 695 in 6.5-06 now)
Bottom Line: Read, read some more, and keep reading. There are worse places to start than this forum.

I don't have any personal experience with Superformance to offer. While viewing the same data on Hodgdon's site, it looks like the burn rate is almost identical to Winchester Supreme 780, which the site does have data for. As far as performance, it's probably about the same as that since they're both spherical powders.
HOWEVER; this looks to be a denser powder, so the charge weights are going to be different. Play it safe.
I've had great results in .30-06 with Reloader 22 and Berger's 185gr Juggernaught OTM Tactical bullets getting 2998 with 62 grains powder. Alliant also has cans in 5lbs, so it's not as much a commitment as an 8lb jug but still enough to play with.

Is it just an issue of fitting the rounds in the magazine, or does it not even want to chamber?
The store offers a new bottom metal that accepts the AICS magazines which can take a max COAL of 3.625 if you've got the gumption to go for it. Otherwise the best I can suggest is seating the bullets deeper so the magazine works.

I've been wanting to experiment with longer seating of the bullets myself, but have run into the same limiting factor with magazine length. Like Robert_P said, they do make the AICS mags that accept 3.625″ COAL. If you're still running into issues with seating a long bullet, that might be the way to go.
Just curious as to why they're seated so far out, is the case full that much? (Disclaimer, I don't have and have never shot a .300 WM, but do have working knowledge of .30-06)
