WSM bolt stop mod LA extended magazine
I just bought a new Tikka T3 stainless hunter in 300 WSM a few months ago. This will be my primary go to gun for deer and elk hunting and I need to buy another magazine as a back up. I watched the youtube video about modifying the bolt stop and now I am wondering if I were to adjust the bolt stop to allow for the LA magazines could I then buy one of the LA extended magazines and increase my load capacity from 3 rounds to 5? Will the WSM cases fit in the LA magazine without having to modify it?
Has anyone tried this with the WSM?

I got your PM but figured I would answer your question here.
The LA magazine is not wide enough for the WSM. The solution is to either remove material from the side wall or take a WSM mag and remove the rear material to make more room.
Modifying the bolt stop is a piece of cake if you have the right tools.
The cleanest conversion is to buy our LA AICS DBM and use a Lapua mag for the WSM. You have to inlet your stock but the end result would be solid.
