Where did we go wrong?
I am not a happy camper, I own a Tikka Varmiter 25/06 and it will drive tacs, and was lucky to draw a once in a lifetime Oryx hunt at White Sands Missel range so I went out and purchased the Tikka 300 mag hunter. My buddy purchased the Tikka 308 hunter. Both guns went thru the correct break-in and both shoot like poo. Both are set with Lupe scopes. Problem is, shoot bullet 1 and 2 and bulls eye, about an inch apart. Shoot number three and the bullet goes 3 inches left and 6 inches high. Both guns have the same problem but let them cool down for 10 min and they walk back to the bulls eye. I am ready to chunk them and go back to a Reminton 700. What are we doing wrong. Scope rings are tourqued to spec

I'll buy them off of you if the price is right. Let me know what you want. Couple bucks is better than “chunking them”.

Sounds like you have the barrel making contact with the stock, check to see if they are free floating.

just a thought, are you using the factory scope rings? just reading around other posts on this forum have led me to believe the factory rings are garbage.
