I have made up my mind to go ahead with the effort to make this rifle all mine. I am starting with a Stainless steel laminated stock T3 in .25-06. I am sending it off to Kampfeld Customs to have the barrel straight fluted and the bolt spiral fluted. The barrel and action will be ceramic bead blasted and the bolt polished. I will have him blacken the flutes on both for contrast. I am going to add a stainless steel bolt shroud and for scope mounts I am going to use Talley Lightweights that have been milled to fit over the dovetail. The last addition I just found on Kampfeld's Facebook page and looks pretty cool. I will go with the campfire version:
I don't think any of this will make the rifle more accurate but I do think it will make it unique. I have to quit reading this site and stop looking at Karl's work too. This is getting expensive!
