trigger adjustment on M55??
Hi everyone, just found this forum and I can't wait to get better aquainted.
I just acquired my second Tikka; an M55 deluxe in .243 heavy barrel, basically mint condition! I'm very excited as it is an exact match to my M65 deluxe 7mm Rem Mag that my Dad gave me years ago. They look real nice next to each other.
Anyways, the trigger on the .243 breaks at 18oz on my scale. Although it is a beautiful crisp break and I haven't been able to cause an accidental discharge (banging the butt end on the ground while cocked). I know it will be great on the range, but I feel it's a bit light for the hunting I intend to use the gun for.
I've read through all the trigger topics I can find and haven't found what I'm looking for (seems most stuff on here is T3 related, not sure if they're the same).
Any help would be great, I'm pretty new to the smithing end of things so pics would be an added bonus.

You don't even need to take the action out of the stock, as the trigger is adjusted by turning the screw in the magazine well.

It's such a simple adjustment, believe me, you don't need pictures. 😉
