Tikka twist rates imported vs U.S.A. ??
Posted by ldanes on February 7, 2015 at 2:27 amI checked on the Berreta web site and it gave the twist rate for a 223 at 1-8''. Then reading on the Tikka Forum the only imported Tikka 223 is 1-10? And Berreta does not import a 1-8″ twist.
I am requesting twist rate for the following: 223, 25-06, 30-06 and 300 win mag, all weapons are Tikka made and imported to the States.
Berreta states the following: 223- 1-8″, 25-06-1-10″, 30-06 1-11″, 300 win mag 1-11″ are these correct for weapons sold in the U.S.A.?
Thanks in advance for the help, Lou

If you go to eurooptic.com site they usually list the twist rates for the various Tikka models and calibers.

The .223 1:8 twist is listed but is a special order but with no chance of actual taking delivery

I was burned before with Beretta's listed twist rates. I ordered a .223 from Bud's expecting a 1:8 and received a 1:10. Almost returned it, but since I also had another Tikka in .243 that shot great I decided to test it. Shoots Sierras 65 GK and 69 MK under 1/2″ at 100 yards. But I really wanted to shoot the 75/77s!

The T3 Sporter is available in the U.S. In 1:8 twist and 2 barrel lengths. Last time I checked it was in stock at SoDak sports in Aberdeen SD and euro optic.

Jason listed the twist rates on our site with the Tikka rifles that we can get. I also know where a guy can get his hands on an 8″ twist 223….
