Tikka tactical 300 Win Mag berger jump test
Yesterday I decided to try the berger jump test. After reading this test that berger released a few years ago. I made a joice to give it a shot. I was always under the impression (like many) that berger bullets have to be jammed or touching lands to get any accuracy. So I went to work and loaded 16 rounds all the same load 66.5 gr of IMR 4350 only thing I changed was seating depth. First was touching lands and I backed out ten thou to .030″ off lands. Shot my first group was not bad under a inch I was happy seeing this was my first trip to the range, but to my serprise every group got smaller as I backed off.
So if any one is out there that is frustrated that there bergers aren't groupin as well as they should try giving them alittle jump.
