Tikka T3X CTR – 6.5 Creedmoor
Posted by rjferber on February 3, 2017 at 2:47 amJust finished putting together my 6.5 Creedmore Project – components purchased this week.
Tikka T3X CTR – 6.5 Creedmoor – Blue
Nikon Monarch 3 – 4-16×42
Warren scope rings
Black 1 1/4″ adjustable sling
Hornady 140 grain ELD Match ammoNow just need some range time to see how it shoots. I will probably hit one of the local indoor 50 yard ranges to get the scope zeroed in and shoot a few groups, and should be ready for the outdoor range.
At this time I only have the Hornady 140 ELD Match ammo.
Anyone have any factory ammo to suggest for target shooting – 100, 200, 300, and 400, & 600 will be the yardages. I may get into reloading at a later point?

Hi stick with the Hornady I've only heard good things about it and it should suit your rifle just fine , there also a good hunting round

Keep us updated on the range report. I have one on order and would love to know how it shoots.

Hello,
I had better luck with the Hornady American Gunner 140 grain hollow point. This ammo comes in a 50 round pack, do a quick search on ammoseek.com I bought mine for $48.99. My ctr is the 20″ barrel. 3 shot group was .380″ five shot was .480″. This was with a whopping 15 rounds down the barrel, off a plastic table using bipod on the front and bag on the rear. Trigger was at factory setting. Running 18x on a bushnell lrhs scope.
Soon as I burn through this ammo I'll be reloading. I'll post up what works.
