Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 7mm Mag?
Posted by TORCHRIDER on January 13, 2015 at 9:20 pmI am in the market for another Tikka and am thinking about the 7mm Rem. Mag in the T3 stainless lite. I am curious to hear from folks that have experience with this caliber.
Is the recoil severe in this rifle?
How is accuracy with this caliber?
Any idea how much velocity I will be losing versus a 26″ barrel? Thanks!

I have one in Left Hand and my Daughter Sandi has one in right hand. Both are sub MOA shooters. Recoil doesn't bother either one of us. Put a Limbsaver recoil pad on and you will be good to go.

You can buy mine as soon as it gets back from the factory. I have had nothing but nightmares with this rifle, shoots all over the place. Beretta charged me $70 to check the rifle for accuracy and found nothing wrong with it. I used 4 different brands of ammo and grains, shot from a rest, checked the crown, action screw torque, recoil lug, used 3 different scopes and 2 different mounts etc etc. Best I could do was 6″ groups and they were very inconsistent. At worst it was shooting completely off paper. I dont get it. I feel bad once I get it back selling it to someone or trading it.

I bet they took it out of the stock and put it in a vice and shot it. Then said it was okay ;(
Look into a new stock. perhaps have a buddy let you borrow his for the day and head out to the range.

Fyi the 7mm mag is gonna kick like a mule in this light rifle, it will shoot under 1 moa in the right circumstances but unless you put a muzzle brake on it you will struggle to get its best accuracy.
