Tikka t3 lite 270
I bought a t3 lite in 270 win about three months ago, did not do a barrel break in as suggested by stroger ! Shot sixty round through it And notice fouling … so i used my bore guide , brass cleaning rod and.brushes and patches. Got rid of all the copper and when i oiled the barrel and inspected before storing away i noticed scratching in the bore. Went back to the range and it wont group and fouls easily. Dont know what to do , sense if the scratching affected the rifling and feel let down due to following instructions of no break in and clean after 60 rounds! Would that of harmed my rifle?

Did you clean the oil out of the barrel before you fired the first shot , they shouldn't be any scratches in the barrel imo , did you first all 60 at one's , did you wait for the barrel to cool , as the lite barrel will get very hot very easily

Yes cleaned the bore prior to shooting to rid of factory grease, shot sixty rounds over three trips to the range. I was due for a cleaning i figured by then … i had copper fouling so to rid of that i bought hoppes benchrest number 9. Removed copper and then notice fliers and reduced accuracy thats when i noticed the scratching. All groups were fired through a cooled barrel
