Tikka Canadian Ranger Rifle Ever to be Sold to the Public?
Posted by FullFlatGrind on April 23, 2016 at 4:30 pmHas anybody heard any rumors or have any insider knowledge that perhaps the new Tikka Canadian Ranger Rifle will ever be sold to the public? Because I want one, bad. The only carbine rifle with a backup sights, laminate stock, stainless steel, and 10 rnd mags on the market is the Ruger Gunsite Scout, but I would greatly prefer the 20″ flash-hiderless barrel, double stack magazine (so the mag doesn't hang out as ridiculously far as on the Ruger), and scope rail where it belongs on the Tikka. I hope Tikka does offer these to the general public before long, Ruger would have some serious competition.

Wolverine Supplies just started taking pre-orders for the “Arctic Tikka .308 and .300 Win.” The cost is around $2600 I believe. I personally just want to buy a set of the irons that are fitted to the rifle.

What about the “T3 Battue” modell ??

I own a Battue in 308 and its a beauty to carry in the bush.
The sights are awesome, probably the easiest and best fast target acquisition on market. -

I would consider a Battue in .338 WM, or larger but in my area my 30-06 does the trick.

That Canadian ranger version is truly (to my eye, and way of thinking) the epitome of what an all around practical rifle should/can be. While I would prefer an ultra light composite stock on it, given their extremely cold conditions that they may face, the laminated stock makes a lot of sense.
My only real change would be to set it up for AI mags, rather than the retardedly expensive sako mags.
Great rifles though.

Hello,
I just ordered a stainless T3x CTR in 308 and would be very interested in the thread on hooded front sight of the Canadian Ranger CTR, does anyone know of a source for these, in blue or stainless? While I appreciate optics, I feel more comfortable knowing backup iron sights are there…
