Tikka bolt travel
Posted by Jeff in TX on July 29, 2012 at 7:35 pmI know Tikka uses a same long action for all calibers. My question is does Tikka change their bolt stops sizes on their .223's and 22-250's to limit the bolt travel to eject a cartridge on the smaller calibers? Or, do they use the same size bolt stop for all calibers so the bolt opens fully?
Thx!

Base on this review, the actions are all the same and the bolt movement is stopped earlier on short actions.

I assume the article is correct.

I stand corrected. Thanks Ranger. My erroneous post was flushed. My apologies.
The parts list in the back of my Tikka owners manual shows two lengths for the bolt stop, a short and a long.
