Tikka action screw torque question.
Posted by leadtag on July 21, 2015 at 11:40 pmSomewhere I thought I read about torque settings for rear at 40 and front forward the trigger guard at 35? Does this sound correct? Or make a difference? Thanks for any help.

I set both action screws to 40in/lbs on all my Tikka's….have not seen an accuracy change from 35-50in/lbs when experimenting…

No more than 35 inch pounds on a plastic T3 or you will splay the stock. If that happens, it will not return to its former shape and may need to be bedded.

This.Beretta suggests torqueing the front first, then follow up with the rear. I go 25 front, 25 rear. Then I finish up with 35 front, then follow up with 35 rear.
