Got in Friday and took a quick trip to the range for a function test and initial zero before a Precision Rifle class on Sunday.
Just shot 168gr Fed GMM at 100, but that target is 2, 3 shot groups. Performed very well in some pretty testy winds Sunday out to 500yards as well. First 2 shots at 500 scored 6's on the NRA 500-yard target, but the next 18 were all 8's or better, with 14 of those 18 being 10's or Bulls.
Folding stock locks up nice and tight. Bolt is butter smooth. Trigger is absolutely perfect. (Can be adjusted easily, but doesn't need it at all) Came with 2 mags…Tikka/Sakos proprietary design…a 3rd is available for free if you register with Tikka, which I will.
With the Argos BTR and bipod she's a heavy girl, but we're going to get along quite well methinks.
Once some more of these hit the U.S., and people get over their love affair with the RPR that needs mods to be a good shooter, they'll realize what a quality rifle you got from Tikka out of the box. Slap on a scope and a bipod and just go have fun!

Very nice the best chassis rifle out there , I've shot one in .308 , trying not to get tempted into getting one in .260 , its the optics for me would break the bank lol

Have an Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27×50 en Route to replace the Argos BTR. Hopeful it will be a nice upgrade.

The Ares BTR 2.5-15×50 MOA FFP is something I've been looking at for a hunting rifle…its seems to be the perfect scope for any situation…I like everything about the product.
Let us now how the new scope performs…
