T3X BOLT DISASSEMBLY – COCKING PIECE BOLT HANDLE
Posted by captsnap on August 18, 2018 at 3:47 pmI was disassembling by bolt / firing pin assembly to replace the bolt handle. I was at Step #3 from the manual and as luck would have it the screwdriver slipped out of the gap between the cocking piece and the bolt handle retainer.
the gap is extremely small to fit a screwdriver in there.
Any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me first time. Use the edge of a desk and pull hard then twist.

You are saying, the firing pin dropped before removing the handle, and hard to get the spacer in. This is easy… Simply use a bench vice and grip the safety indicator tang. Hold the bolt body, and pull, then the twist the bolt body (which way depend which way facing but you'll work it out).
