T3x 30-06 box ammo
Merry Christmas and happy new year! It has been awhile since I posted anything. First off thanks for all the great advice from this forum and thanks for the great products made by MT. I have a MT lug and rail on the rifle I am posting about here.
Over the summer I purchased a new T3x, bought the only caliber they had at the sale price, 30-06. Didn't fine time to shoot until after hunting season. I have only used box ammunition with the rifle thus far and I only have a temporary scope on the rifle (4-12Leupold). The resus so far are fantastic. I am very happy with this rifle.
Win 150g XP 40 rounds fired and averaging .65 inches at 100 yards
Fed 165g TBT 20 rounds fired and averaging.9 inches at 100 yards
Fed 150 Fusion 9 rounds fired and averaging.9 inches at 100 yardsAll outdoor shots for this rifle low wind days.
I don't have any 30-06 reloading experience. Please share any pet loads good for elk and deer that the Tikkas like…thanks. I am most interested in loads for accubond bullets, but am open to suggestions.
I have noticed the free floating doesn't go all the way to the action on this rifle. I think the new recoil pad on the T3x is great no need for limb saver or overly loud muzzle breaks. Like the gripping up grade on the stocks as well. Same silky smooth action and crisp trigger. The action port seems a little bigger but I really couldn't notice it. Awesome rifle!

Great day at the range today. Shot the new T3x 30-06 again testing some other ammunition. Hornady precision hunter 178g ELDX and 150g Fed Fusion again.
178g first 5 shot group at 100 yards .9 inches second 4 shot group .95 inches with some wind that was impacting all of my shooting today. Then federal fusion 3 shots at 1 inch. I can't wait to reload for this rifle.
Tikka really did this T3x right.
