T3/T3X barrel swap
Hello all.
I’m not a newbie to shooting, but have very little knowledge of gunsmithing.
The situation: I have a T3 chambered in .30-06 and love it. I just bought my son a T3X in .30-06. I have recently been made aware of two Tikka T3 barrels, one in 7mm Remington mag and one in .270.
The question: If I buy these two barrels, can the barrels be simply swapped out, or is any gunsmithing required? I would love it if I could make a small investment in barrels and broaden our cartridge compatibility.
Any help is appreciated. Also, I would have a smith do the swapping, for safety sake.
