T3 Super Light .243
Posted by Slimysquirrel on December 31, 2015 at 6:40 pmHere is my main hunting rifle.
I got the blued rings ceracoated as the blued ones tend to rust easy in the humidity.
Just picked up some Norma brass and 87 grain Vmax / VLD Hunting for some loads.T3 Superlight .243

What stock is that?
Does the super-lite come with the fluted barrel?

Yep, the superlite fluted up as standard.
The stock had just been sprayed with Krylon make it stone for more grip. Finished with a few coats of clear. -

Wow! That looks good! Did you install the flush cups?

Looks great! Love the paint job on the stock!
How is the .243 with that suppressor? Should be pretty nice on the ears!

was the barrel cut a little to make room for the can? Looks short

I installed the cups, pretty simple job really you just need to prep the stock so the epoxy grabs properly!
The barrel is standard. It was just threaded to take the can.
The Suppressor is excellent. In open areas it's really quiet.
I have changed the stock out for a B&C and it has added a bit of weight so I'm just waiting on a Carbon stock to be made so it can retain it's “Light” tag. It's also wearing a Nightforce NXS for a bit of dialing fun.
Took it out in the weekend with some hand loaded 87 Vmax. Super accurate load for this rig, I had a first timer shooting and he was popping Goats at 335 yds with ease.

Waited 8 months for this stock to be made. SG Carbon Fiber Gunstocks do an amazing job.
It's incredibly light, super stiff and has a custom LOP. Stu Includes bedding the rifle in the overall price.
I will be getting another down the line for a long range rig that needs to come walking..
Still need the Sterks love and a fluted bolt plus the Leupold VX3 so it finally becomes the lightweight rig I have planned for.
