T3 Sporter in .308
Posted by Bee Bee on February 10, 2012 at 11:45 amHi Guys,
Anyone bought or tried the new T3 Sporter in .308 yet? Considering buying one after buying a Sako .17HMR and a T3 Varmint Stainless in .223 last year.

I do not have a 308 but I do have a 6.5×55 and a .223. They both are very accurate and the triggers are awesome. There are pictures and targets from a few of these rifles from different owners in the picture section I believe.

I have a T3 Sporter in 308 and am currently working up loads to determine the best match to the rifle. It is intended for High Power XTC competition and maybe some long-range stuff out to 1000 yds at Lodi (but I got a learning curve to cover for that…) Shoots better than I do so far, but don't all my rifles… Best load so far at 200 yards with 155 gr Sierra Match King Palma and Varget, had a 5-shot group of 2.304″ (1.100 MOA), with an average distance from group center of 0.602″ (0.288 MOA) – one flyer in the group. I'll be testing 168 gr SMK and 175 gr SMK as well.
I added a Weaver rail, Centra rear sight with Gehmann adjustable aperture, combined with a Phoenix Precision front sight (custom machined mount to fit the muzzle diameter) with Centra adjustable front aperture.
