T3 Safety
Posted by Bigern48 on November 5, 2013 at 6:55 pmIs there a way to reduce the sound of the safety? When the safety is taken off, it makes a noticeable noise. This is very problematic for short range hunting. Thanks

When I have been hunting with my T3 in a stand I just press a little harder and slowly take the safety off with my thumb and can operate it with no sound

Really, holding the safety down is not a reasonable way of dealing with this one. I've had guns
before that this would work on. However, this safety is very, very hard to move, and with cold
fingers–well, you know. Thanks for the suggestion. It's going to take some working it, or
mechanical adjustment. -

Did you pull the barreled action out of the stock and see if the side of the safety is rubbing? It's not very likely, but a small possibility.

Thanks Al. I don't believe it's rubbing, but I'll check tomorrow.
