T3 magazines fall out under recoil
I have a new T3 Laminated Stainless in .270 Win and have been doing some load development.
I purchased and installed the Tikka Performance factory bottom metal and have been having an issue with the magazines falling out (yes they are fully clipped in) when I fire the rifle. I've looked for any defects (moulding “flash” etc) and found nothing.
I'm going to re install the factory plastic bottom metal and see if it continues.Anyone else having this problem?

Hi Ziggy, sorry to hear your having this issue.
Since you have checked for problems with the latch, perhaps bending the flat spring attached to the trigger assembly so that it applies more forward pressure on the magazine might fix the problem.
Let us know what you end up doing to fix this.

Hey Ziggy,
Send that back to the shop. I'll test it and see what the problem is. They've been bombproof but like anything, there is always one that can slip through the cracks.
