Shooting rests?
Posted by onbadmofo on February 12, 2015 at 3:20 pmWhat kind of shooting rests are you guys using….. bipod, bag, lead sled?
I myself use a Caldwell tackdriver bag or a bipod.onbadmofo replied 9 years, 2 months ago 3 Members · 3 Replies -

For sighting in and breaking in a barrel (I'm old fashion) I use a lead sled. At 78 I'm not that good a bench rest shooter anymore and losing the vision in my right eye has forced me to go to left hand rifles so the lead sled is my go to rest.

I've been using a bipod up front and beanbag in back. When shooting off of a bench I place a couple sand bags in front of the bipod so that I can “load” the bipod.

I have a wood bench it shoot off of and I going to try some foam under my bipod to help deaden the recoil jump.
Right now I am making different loads so I am using a bag up front it keep it steady …. but I prefer using my bipod.
