Price jump on .22 LR ?
Posted by ShtrRdy on September 19, 2015 at 8:30 pmI recently experienced some sticker shock when pricing a “brick” of .22 LR ammo. The last time I bought some, (about 2 years ago), it was going for ~$23. Now it's going for $45. What caused the jump in pricing on this ammo?

Cheap jump on it. It because people are hoarding it. I needed some while back to take my girls out to shoot and paid 65 a brick. I have seen it all the way to 125 and I laughed and walked away. I'm getting Lapua 50 for $7. And happy with it

Where have you been for 2 years.
I've been shooting other cartridges besides the .22 LR.
I can understand the price doubling in 2009. The raw material costs had doubled and there was the familiar scare after Obama got elected. But I don't understand why it doubled again.
