New Twist for 223 T3 Lite
My local gun shop just received a new shipment of Tikka T3 Lite rifles and I noticed that the 223 now has a 10″ twist as opposed to the previous models which had an 8″ twist.
I'm really puzzled by this design change – if they wanted to decrease the twist rate why not go with the standard 12″ twist which is so common in the US for shooting lighter weight varmint bullets. I assume that the 10″ twist will be better suited for the 50 and 55 grain varmint bullet which I welcome.
I'm considering getting the 223 with this new twist. Any of you have any thoughts on this new twist rate.
