New T3X Lite
Posted by shamelin73 on June 8, 2017 at 10:48 amWell this T3X Lite in .308 is my first hunting rifle. I have Warne rings.
I originally bought the Nikon M-308 and it seems like a good scope I am both sure it will do for hunting. I am not a huge fan of the BDC as it is only on mark at 16x. It is quite accurate 500yard groups within 4 inchesI want a good scope in like a 3×9 with better lowlight. Please let me know alternatives?
I like the MOAR reticle on the NF 3×10.

This is what I ended up with tonight. I took the Nikon back as I was not that happy with it. I spent a few hours with a couple sale people that were knowledgeable with scopes. I ended up with a Leupold VX-5HD 3-15X44 CDS-ZL2 with a FireDot Duplex reticle.
This seems to be new for this year and all the Leupold documentation has not been updated for the VX-5HD yet. I tried to register it and ordered my custom turrets but model is not listed I will have to call.

Went out yesterday with the new Leupold and really like the clarity. Will take some getting used to without the hold offs but with the CDS system I think it will be easy enough to just use cross hairs. I think the FireDot reticle is going to be nice at dusk and dawn hunting. My groups at 100 yards are sub MOA.
I am so pleased with my new T3x Lite. I am still trying to get my hold and cheek in the right form. I think that I should have got the stock with the adjustable cheek on the stock. Is there a trick or something that I could do to help with placement.
