New T3 Scout CTR
Got a new T3 Scout CTR a couple of months ago after waiting for about a year for the right price and opportunity. Finally got a scope for it and took it to the range this past Saturday.
First post here, been lurking for a bit off and on. Can't wait to get some upgrades and mods done.
Scope is a Vortex Viper PST 4-16×50 on some Blackhawk rings. I also made a spacer for the cheek riser to raise it up enough for me. Overall, I'm very happy with the results. It has more recoil than I expected from a heavy barrel, but I don't have a lot to compare it to since this is my first precision rifle. Maybe a limbsaver will help. I'm also interested in suggestions if anyone has them on reducing the recoil some. Don't get me wrong, I can take it, but follow up shots are going to be very hard with the current setup.
I want to get a rear bag and see if that helps tighten my groups. All shots pictured were at 100 yards from a bench on a calm day.
Here are some pics from the range trip.

My group is the one circled. The other shots were from a friend's husband who shot the same target when I let him try it out…grrr
