My new custom 35 whelen tikka
I bought a used 30-06 and sent her off to get the barrel cut to 16.5 and rebored to .35 whelen and placed a B&C stock on her. The gunsmith was supposed to thread the barrel but for some reason forgot so now I'm waiting to hear back from him to see what hes going to do. It cost me 75 bucks for shipping both ways and the threading was a 25 dollar job. A local gunsmith wants 100 to thread the barrel. Hopefully i hear back from the gunsmith tomorrow.
Shes topped with a VX-3L 3.5-10×50
She shot very well for having a 16.5 barrel. I'm sure the size of the 5 shot group was more so my fault and not the guns. I was using Hornady 200gr sp's. Getting a brake on this gal would make her a complete package.
