Modern advancements in long range shooting vol 2 just arrived
One of the reasons I have been awol for a few days (beside travel and leaf testing) is that I have been engrossed with Brian Litz's new book as stated in the title. If you are interested in understanding this pastime of shooting, I recommend all of his books. Live fire tested and well documented, he gives insight into ballistics that is both useful and technical.
Volume 2 has a section on precision reloading and lazer rangefinder tests – I will update as I read!

Thanks for the info on this. Does the each volume cover different topics? Or Is the first volume more of an overview while the second edition is more in depth? Thanks.

2nd volume expands on 1st as well as new topics, reviews. I will post the table of contents when I get back.

I'm also going the recommend the series of books on rifle maintenance, long range cartridges, shooting technique etc by Nathan Foster in New Zealand. Look him up at ballistic studies.com
The books are easy reading, no bullshit and will make you a better shot and your rifles more accurate.
His website has great info of all kinds and the books are superb.

Great books by 2 guys with vast amounts of knowledge.
Litz has some crazy backing and equipment at his deposal…amazing testing and information.
Mighty fine competition shooter as well.Nathan's approach and information is great, I like the way he translates things…, I love his detailed analyses and testing on actual game…He's a very skilled individual when it comes to rifle accuracy and improvements. Its also amazing that you can actually get this guy on the phone or have a conversation through email.
If you follow these 2 guys you really can't go wrong…
