Magazine question
Posted by Billy on December 9, 2019 at 6:38 pmThe magazine that came with my T3X 6.5 CM has no label on it at all. I cannot find one listed anywhere for a 6.5 CM. Is it the same mag that the .308 uses? Where is the best place to get one?

The 308 mag is used for 6.5 Creedmoor…You can get the factory mags from just about anywhere but try Mountain Tactical for their new billet aluminum mag…

Thank you. I checked Mountain Tactical but they're out of stock, so I'll get the factory for now.

Depending on where you are located…any store carrying tikka rifles should have them.
Cabela's and Bass pro will have them in stock for sure if you are close to one of these locations. -
Mountain tac is a good source for mags.
Also David waters in AU has very clean and tested mags for Tikka’s for a bit more.

In case anyone else ever needs to know, the 6.5 CM mag is slightly different from the .308. The one for the 6.5 CM is designed to accept a 1/4″ (roughly) longer cartridge. I had already bought the .308 version and saw the difference when I compared it to my original mag. I did not notice the stamp originally, but the one that came with my 6.5 CM is stamped M+ and the .308 that I bought is stamped M. It appears the M stands for Medium and the M+ is the same but will hold a longer cartridge. The spare I bought works with 143gr ELDX, but there is NO room to spare.
