Magazine compatibility – CTR VS Std T3?
Hello,
As I await my CTR, does anyone know if the standard T3 magazines can be used in the CTR, or only the insanely expensive metal magazines?

The standard mags will not work in the CTR. In my mind, it's the only bummer regarding this platform. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Yea there is no crossover on the CTR / standard

Yes and no. The floor plates and magazines are not cross-compatible with each other, but the actions are basically the same. I've used a Ctr bottom metal/TRG-pattern mag with 2 different T3 lite actions, and it has worked fine.

The 10 round metal Mag that comes with the unit is insanely expensive. I'm told around 180 a pop. I have had constant issues with the mag coming loose after recoil. The forum says there's a fix requiring the use of a screw driver to bend the latch port on the mag. I'm not hearing a lot about the polymer mags though. the rifle is a hoot to shoot and I love it.
