lost T3 ejector pin spring, need to make a new one
Posted by K2Man on March 5, 2016 at 4:29 amI removed my ejector pin on my new T3 Stainless Laminated .270 Win, and want to shoot in a few days. I can make springs or maybe buy one locally. I've looked on line and on the Tikka Shooters website, but haven't found any info on this spring. I don't think it is anything special, but if anyone has any specs or even a picture, I'd appreciate any info.

I'm guessing tha Brownells will have a suitable spring, unfortunately I can't help with the dimensions for a few days.

Brownells has a kit with the ejector pin, ejector clip, two springs, couple other parts – but no stock and $60. That's pretty expensive for that little spring I need! I can make one – I think the photo in the Brownells catalog shows the spring well enough. It's not really that precision – just has to kick out the brass – diameter smaller than the pin, long enough to push on the ejector pin, short enough to let the pin retract fully. Just wish I hadn't lost the original. Had disassembled and put all the parts in a plastic bin on the bench – went to reassemble and the spring was gone. I think I have a spring gremlin living under my bench, as this isn't the first spring that has disappeared from this bench! – UPDATE – crawled around on the floor ONE MORE TIME before I headed to the shop to make one and FOUND IT!

A bit late, a magazine release button spring of a (kimber) 1911 fits and looks the same, i used one to reduce the tension so the casings fall on the bench and not 10 feet away.
