Limited Edition Tikka T3X CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor
Posted by Jason_McHann on April 21, 2016 at 5:24 amHere, in the US, we’ve been on pins and needles waiting see the new T3X. Tikka teased us with photos and website updates after IWA while we wait in anticipation to snatch up these new rifles.
If you do not know, Mountain Tactical has forged a direct relationship with Beretta USA over the last few months and we have been begging for information to pass to our customers. Finally, they opened the doors to the kingdom and gave us a glimpse of what is to come. It has been like drinking from a fire hydrant!
Here is the opener:
A limited run of Tikka T3X CTRs will be available in 6.5 Creedmoor. Both blued and stainless models will be (More…)

I have been wanting to buy a Tikka CTR for some time now and I am strongly considering this deal. Are there any benefits or cons to getting the 6.5 creedmoor version over the 260 rem if I am a reloader?

Ballistically, the two rounds are virtually identical. The advantage for a reloader is the ability to tune the rounds. The case is shorter on the CM giving you more room to play with seating depth.
Great question!

Hey Jason- Thanks for working out this deal, I am looking forward to seeing this rifle! Do you have any updates from them on the delivery schedule?

Hi drdirt,
My Beretta rep told me yesterday that these did not make it on the boat for the 5/29 launch so July is the new drop date.
As I learn more I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for the update. Just out of curiosity, that's just the 6.5 CM batch that is held up, not the other CTR TX3s? Also, is it your still your understanding that theyre going to make this a one time limited release of 6.5 CMs? It seems like there would be a continuing demand if they added it to their line, but Sako has done this before, like with a limited release .260 REM TRG.

At this point they are testing the market. There are rumors of a TRG in 6.5CM as well… but they wouldn't let me throw a couple in the pot with the CTRs.
There are quite a few T3x's stateside waiting for the 5/29 launch. It was just the 6.5CMs that were delayed.
I was shipped one early so I could do a review and test fit product. So far, everything fits perfectly. The changes in the rifle system minor, but welcome.

Are these still going to be available? If so is there a list? The link posted was broken.
I've been debating between a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5cm to get into long range or a t3 lite in .243win for a new deer rifle as my next buy. A ctr in 6.5cm would kill 2 birds with one stone.

I was going to get the ruger , but once I had a good look at one the quality is sadly very lacking, the creedmore shoots great but the stock is not good at all , my gunsmith as taken a couple apart and in his words the action/ trigger is poor quality , go for the Tikka ,

The link was taken down because we sold all of the rifles coming in. They should be here in July according to Beretta.
We do have a wait list going though. Email Andrea at the shop vasb@grzc.gvxxnfubbgref.pbz. She'll get you on it.
