ITHACA LSA-55 .308 RIFLE
Posted by SPEEDGUNNER on September 7, 2013 at 8:59 pmI recently picked up a real nice Ithaca LSA-55 in .308 from an estate. My original thought was to pass it along, but the more I learn about the rifle the more intrigued I become, and I am most likely going to keep it. Trouble is, NO mag. According to the daughter, her dad gave her a box of “gun stuff” to get rid of a few years ago, and she tossed it. UGH! It appears as though these mags are made of unobtainium, everywhere I read someone is looking for a mag. I need one. Isn't this rifle the same as the Tikka M55? Anyone here able to help out? Point me in the right direction, have one to sell? Thanks.

Hi Speedgunner,
I'll check our warehouse and see what we have. If I remember correctly all we have left are 5 rounds but I will double check that.
They are expensive but very well made.
Talk to you soon!

My dad has the very same rifle and spent years trying to find that magazine. We live in Canada and actually found a small shop in Ontario that had a couple in stock. If you are still looking for one message me and I will forward you the details. 🙂

I just recently bought the very same rifle. Mine does have a magazine, but it appears they are tuff to find. Have you had any luck yet?

Good question.
I have an LSA-65, in 30-06 and would love a spare mag, just to be safe.
If anyone has info, or a mag, let me know please! 🙂

We tried an old one for Speedgunner but it didn't work.
Now we are back on the hunt for a US source. He found quite a few outlets in Finland that had them.

The contact info for the Finnish sources would be most appreciated. Just having one spare would be a bit of piece of mind, plus if we ordered together, that might save some money for the freight charges. I am looking for one on 30-06 (65).
I shot my little chopped T3 in .308 today while at my cabin. Even with the cold northern wind blowing hard, it was doing sub 3/4 inch 3 shot groups with a 165 hpbt Sierra Game kings. The little gun has taken over as my favorite hunting rifle. It is such a great little package with a 20″ bbl and the 2.5-10×24 Nightforce compact. One more week until my cow elk hunt begins. If I am lucky, the little T3 will provide an opportunity to fill the freezer. My last 2 elk were taken with the T3, and I am hoping like heck for another opportunity to make it 3 in a row…. 🙂
