improvement ideas for the forum?
Seems like here is a number of spam, people or bots who register and start spamthreads.
This is fairly annoying as I for convenience usally hits the “Wiev unread posts” so I can read the active posts since last visit.
But mostly threads says DELETED, and the majority of those who not are DELEDTED are JOQD or QOUD wish are equally uninteresting.So my suggestion is:
1. all new members should be manually approved by the administrators, that would make it difficult for bots and spammers to hit the forum.
2. Can't you please take the JOQD and OQDT and move it to somewhere so it's not included in the “View unread posts”.Appearantly both me and mostly others here don't wanna read it anyway, as there usally is no readers for it, so it could be a nice idea to keep it outside of the technical/hunting/shootinig side of the forum.

Thank you for the honest and direct feedback. This is what we need to make the forum better!
1. Spammers were getting through until about 10 days ago. New members now have to go through a screening process before they can join the site. Since implementing this, no spammers or bots have come through.
2. The JOTD and QOTD were an experiment by Greg and I agree, very few people actually read it. I'll work on a solution for this as well.
Thank you for the feedback and I encourage more as we fine tune this space.
