I didn’t do any harm right?
Hey all! DUMB QUESTION ALERT!
So I have a Tikka T3 Stainless Lite that I want to make a precision build out of.
I took the stock off to adjust the trigger, and when re-assembling the rifle, I noticed it was taking a lot more turns to install the screws.I stopped when I realized the stock was flexing abnormally close to the barrel. That's when I realized the torque wrench was set to 65 inch pounds instead of 35.
So I backed the screws off and re-installed the stock with 35 inch pounds.
I don't really care about the plastic factory stock, but is there any possible way I did something bad to the receiver or the screws?
I am OBNOXIOUSLY paranoid about my precision rifles, I realize this may seem dumb to ask, but I figured since this is my first Tikka, I might as well play it safe.
