GUNSMITHING DETAILS PLEASE
Posted by J on July 30, 2015 at 11:09 pmQuestion for Jason or Robert:
Good to see that you guys are offering barrels with fitting, Rem style lugs and bedding, but I think most of us would like more detail on what's on offer. Who makes the barrels, who is your 'smith, and can we see some of his work? Pics of completed bedding jobs would be good too. Not being funny, I just want more detail before I send one of my rifles for work. I would say most of us research hard before we choose a 'smith, so I can't be the only one that would like some reassurance. I don't doubt the work or the quality of kit as I know you wouldn't send poor quality work or goods out, but let's have some details please. Will you be offering .30 cal barrels too?
Thanks

No response and no reviews of the relevant items on the web store. Perhaps others are waiting to see what their money buys before committing?

If I was spending my money, these guy's would be my first choice to do any work on my rifles no ifs or buts, the only reason I don't use them is the small problem of the Atlantic Ocean

I'm not doubting them at all mate, I would just like more details. I have bought loads of stuff from them and have been highly impressed with it all. I'm currently holding off buying a DBM as I'm waiting for the MT version to arrive. So, for anyone reading this, I'm a huge fan of what these guys are doing and I intend no criticism at all.

Yukon al is the best source for barrel changes I know. He is keen on the particulars and has the best advice on modifications

I just sent in my T3 Forrest to have some work done on it. Muzzle brake, bedding, stainless steel block and more. Excited to see how everything comes out.

I have 2 Sporters and plan to shoot the barrels out. I plan to have Jason do the rebarrel on both but want YukonAl's recoil lug. All that said it won't happen this season. Jason is busy and he is competent. We can have the conversation on details when all is settled.
