GRS Berserk Stock – Bedding
Hi all, I purchased another Tikka SS Laminate in 7mm08 last year. With hand loads the rifle shot 0.25-0.5MOA groups. I wasn't overly happy with the ergonomics of the stock, so I upgraded to a GRS Berserk stock.
Since installing the rifle in the GRS Berserk stock, the best grouping I can get with the rifle after extensive load development is 0.6-1MOA. I have spoken with GRS and they recommended doing some testing with varying the torque in the action screws. That being done, I found that the rifle preferred 51-53in-lb. Yet still groups are no better than 0.6-1moa.
I know the rifle is capable of more from experience, GRS has suggested bedding the stock. Just wondering if anyone has bedded the GRS Berserk Stock yet? If you have, was their an improvement? Seems to be nothing on the net regarding bedding this stock.

Hmmm, tricky problem
I cannot imagine why the berserk is not performing as well as factory. -
It is a very tricky problem, my local gunsmith was unwilling to bed the stock due to it flexing. He suggested installing an Atlas Worx bottom metal. I think he believes the plastic tikka bottom could be squirming with the higher torque values.
Will be ordering the bottom metal today then testing next weekend to see if it makes any difference. Fingers crossed
