Found C-clip in 300wsm T3 magazine
I went to get the rifle out for a hunting trip a couple weeks ago. Pulled the magazine and heard some rattling inside, I managed to dump a black colored c clip. I did a function check which was normal, looked up the exploded diagrams online, called Tikka to see if they knew anything about it and still to this point I have no idea where it goes. The diagrams show 2 C-clips, Tikka says the gun WILL NOT function with either one of those clips off. I put close to 40 rounds through it the last time I went out and never had a problem nor was the clip in the magazine before that range trip. I have pulled the trigger assembly off the receiver and did not notice any c clips and the sides are staked together so I'm not sure if it's even possible to disassemble any farther. Tikka told me it was probably an extra from manufacturing. Possible but I'm not willing to risk it until I know the 2 that are supposed to be there are there. Anyone familiar with the stock triggers or has anyone seen this issue before? I love the rifle, was never a fan of laminate stocks but now I'm hooked, and it still amazes me every time I pull it out of the safe and cycle the bolt.
