Found a new old stock T3 Mag
I abandoned any thought of getting a T3 300 WM Tactical as it is way overpriced and I don’t like the stock. Instead, I found a new “old stock” T3 7mm Rem Mag which I think I can have Jason rebarrel to 300 WM.
Ideally the finished rifle will have a stainless 10 twist threaded barrel and MT’s AICS bottom metal mod. I mostly run my rifles suppressed so I am leaning toward 24 “ barrel but would deal with 26” if the shorter barrel gave up too much performance or potential.
I’m not sure how it should be throated – I plan to use 168 gr A-Max for varmints (I have about 1k squirreled away) up to 208 gr A-Max (Several hundred on hand) for long range fun. I also have 500 or so of 220 gr Lapua scenar-L’s. And 1k of 190 gr custom competition Noslers.
Anyway it’s already a fun project and I will get in touch with Jason to start the ball rolling.
Your opinions/recommendations are welcome!
I don’t plan to shoot the light 150 grain bullets in this build.
