Floating the tang?
Saw on another forum to make sure the barrel is floated, but also the tang.
The guy was trying to get his rifle to group.
The tang on my B&C medalist leaves a press mark on the painted area behind the rear action screw.
Should I sand this down to clear? I have removed the paint to the black stock, but stiill contactMine is a T3 lite, 300WSM

Does that stock have metal pillars that the receiver is suppose to contact? If so, then it probably makes sense to relieve the tang area as needed so that you get a solid receiver to pillar contact.
