first yote with my new tikka
called this yote in at 11:40 A.M. yesterday. This was my first day out with my tikka. I anchored this dog at 317 yards with an 87gr VLD. My 243 is topped with a Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40AO. This gun will shoot the the Berger bullets in 1/4''-1/2'' all day long.
in the next couple weeks this gun will be a 6mmAI

Nice shooting! You have to love those Bergers.
Keep us posted on the 6mm ai project. That round will be a screamer out of your gun.

I have the same scope mounted on two of my tikkas. Mine have the fine duplex… I think it is just the right balance for hunting/target. I have to try some of those VLDs… Looks like they make a mess!
Gotta love the accuracy that you can get out of a 6.5lb rifle!

i also have fine duplex in my scope. I dont recommend the VLD if you want to save fur. They didnt massive damage out of my 243wssm Dtech
