Firing pin trouble
Owned my T3 lite 223 for a year now maybe a thousand rounds through her and recently did some mods.
I added a KRG XRay chassis, MT rail, Ti/carbon bolt handle and YO Dave trigger spring. And now I have had light firing pin hits. This was not a problem when I added the chassis and rail but now that I added the spring and bolt handle. I have removed the firing pin assembly I can see a scratch from above the pins tip to the spring retainer can't imagine what would cause that. I have since polished it out yet it still had light strikes as in duds without firing. I have seen one how to vid on youtube that showed the complete pin disassembly already disassembled. I am willing to buy a new pin but would also like to no how to disassemble on my own. And more important if any one else has had this issue and or no what would cause it? Thanks -

Might be a bolt handle issue. Put the original handle back in and see what happens. The new trigger spring shouldn't be an issue.

With the help of Dave as in the trigger spring fame we realized it was the ammo. I had bought American Federal 223 at the same time as my other changes. And lo and behold when I changed the ammo to some Aquila I had on hand the problem was solved. Fyi when
I used the American Federal in my Rem 700 I had the same trouble.
