Posted by Deleted User on February 4, 2014 at 7:36 pmHELLO ALL,
I HAVE A T3 LITE SS IN 25-06. CAN ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCE WITH ONE RECOMMEND ANY FACTORY AMMO THAT IT MIGHT SHOOT WELL? I INTEND TO TRY SEVERAL DEER AND VARMINT LOADS.
THANKS, STEPHEN BC

I picked up some Hornady American Whitetail 117 gr ammo and the first group at 100 yds had 3 shots touching in my Laminated stainless T3

Deleted UserFebruary 7, 2014 at 8:21 pmTHANKS PACECARS. INTERESTING… THE AMERICAN WHITETAIL 117 IS THE ONLY AMMO I HAVE TRIED SO FAR AND MY GROUPS WERE 1 9/8 AND 1 3/4. DON'T KNOW IF IT'S OPTICS/MOUNTS OR RIFLE. PRETTY SURE IT'S NOT ME. I PICKED UP A PACK OF FEDERAL FUSION 120 & FED PREMIUM 100, WILL SEE HOW THEY DO THIS WEEKEND. STEPHEN BC

I guess every gun is different. I just picked up some Remington 100 gr ammo to try.

Barnes vortex ammunition or ted nudgent ammo should shoot pretty awesome.

Rem 100gr Core Lokts
Hornady 117gr Interlokts
Federal 117gr SGKAll of these I have tried in the last month or so and had only marginal performance…(2inch groups at 100 yards)
After reading lots of posts on the 25-06 it seems like the T3 barrels like the 100gr bullet weights more. Can anyone confirm this thought?

I have had the most luck with:
90gr. Sierra Blitzking over 55gr of IMR4831
100gr. Sierra Matchking over 53.5gr of IMR4831
100gr. Nosler BalisticTip over 53.5gr of IMR4831All with standard COALs from the reloading manuals. Using Nosler brass, neck sizing only. Seating bullets with a Forster Ultra-Micrometer seating die. If I use my Hornady concentricity gauge at the end of a loading session, I can shoot one hole groups on a good day.
Usually 1/2 MOA on good days, still less than 1 MOA on bad days. But of course, I did a lot of work to the rifle to get it there: better scope base, better stock, and bedded action.

try federal fusion only 120 gr in 25-06 though.

Federal 100gr NBT and 120gr Fusion shoot well in mine
